Just in time for #womensequalityday,
this guide fuels a national campaign
in the fight for pay and policy equality.

The vision:

Create a comprehensive, actionable article that would help guide folks
in voting for pay equality in their everyday lives.

The ask:

1) develop the questions for key experts that would prove catalysts
for great responses (aka: great content), and

2) transform that Q&A into a digestible yet specific how-to that would support
a national campaign for Equal Pay.

The results:

I tapped into the unique positions and experiences of each expert to build
a resource that appeals to EVERYONE.

Women. Men. Experienced advocates and newbie activists.

For nearly two decades, LUNA Bar has been committed to inspiring women, championing change and demanding that equality be a right, not an option.

As the US women headed to France in 2019 to defend their title as world champions, LUNA teamed up with some of the most accomplished athletes and inspiring advocates in women’s equality for a discussion in the iconic Eiffel Tower.

The LUNA team tasked me with reporting on the event for a full-length article to be published in Clif Bar and Company Stories.

You’ll face opposition even in your own camp. Women who might not think they should be striving for a spot at the top. But we all need role models to know where to go. We can all start somewhere, but let’s not put it off. Let’s have this conversation today. #somedayisnow

LUNA is committed to championing women so they never have to settle. “LUNA Voices” brings amazing women to the forefront to share their awesomeness and indestructible determination to empower others.

On the eve of the release of Harriet, the first-ever feature film starring historical figure, Harriet Tubman, LUNA invited the heroine’s filmmakers to be a part of the LUNA Voices speaking series, hosted in conjunction with the Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) Filmmakers Forum.

Team LUNA tasked me with crafting questions and interviewing the film’s director, Kasi Lemmons, and producer, Daniela Lundberg. I spoke with them about their own challenges in storytelling and their journeys to bring this first-ever hero’s journey to the big screen.
